The excuse we are going to use, is that Australia is big, we mean REALLY big, and Optus does NOT cover all of it. Of course optus and Telstra don't even talk, let alone share mobile towers, so neither Sandra or Marica had mobile phone reception, or internet, so there !!!!
Firstly a bit about the ride itself:
We met up in Perth with an amazing bunch of guys (guys being generic and including ladies).
There as 25 bikes and 1 scooter, 2 cars and 1 trailer, 3 support crew, 2 children and 1 pillion.
In total 5 women, 1 in the support crew, 2 wives, 1 pillion the other in the support vehicle, and 2 sisters, that would be us.
Day 1 was 740km of riding and nothing much else, day 2 was 721km of riding and nothing much else, day 3 was 650km of riding and nothing much else, until 40km out of Wudinna, where Sandra decided everything was going really well, and wanted to see the support crew at work. So, to shake things up a bit she lost (broke) her chain, while riding at 120kph..........
We loaded the Ninja onto the trailer, and went to town, where everyone was waiting for us to go out to dinner with the Wudinna Senior citizens. Every year they put on a dinner for the Wall to Wall riders, and present them with a donation towards Bright Blue.
