Sandra even got served breakfast in bed. Very impressive.
When we finally managed to pull ourselves away from the comfort, we headed to the Tree Top Walk and the Valley of the Giants.

Whilst walking through the Valley of the Giants, we actually learnt quite a bit. We learnt about the tassel bush, the Spider Orchid, Tingle trees and the Vesper bats. They weigh no more than a 10 cent piece, and are 47mm long (from head to tail). All good learning about them, but we actually got to see, and pat one. He was asleep in a ladies office, at the gift shop, and she was scared and wanted him removed. When the guy went and got it, he brought it in for us to see, before relocating it somewhere safe for the day. He (the bat) was so soft and cute.
So glad to see the rain seems to have stopped. Sounds like you needed a bit of sunshine after the last two days. Glad you managed to get your stuff dry in the cabin and had a good day. I dropped my new bike at a round about first time I rode him at home. So mad at myself and at the time was mortified with embarrassment. So many people stopped to help - which was lovely. Bent my left brake lever so will look at replacing it (still fully functional - just a bit short!).
ReplyDeleteIn some ways it's good that this happened as I think I was feeling unjustifiable over confident and I now know to just slow down and take it easy. Go me!!

Sorry to hear you dropped Winston on the first day, but bound to happen, happens to all of us. Main thing is, both of you are ok, and now you have a special bond with him.
